+ Our Vision

The goal of Sports That Serve is two-fold. First, we strive to provide an engaging sports camp experience that emphasizes the Biblical principles of character development and servant-leadership. Secondly, we wish to tangibly model this principal of service by donating proceeds from each camp to aid those less fortunate here in the Unites States and around the world.  In addition, we seek to care for the poor in our own sphere of influence by setting aside twenty to twenty-five percent of all camp enrollments for children from low income families in the local community.

Being fueled by a passion for the poor, Sports That Serve does not measure its success in terms of dollars earned, but in children blessed. With this perspective, it is a relief to know that there will never be an exact amount that will equal that success. Mother Teresa was quoted as saying “If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one”. This quote so accurately represents the attitude behind our cause that we chose to put this quote on the back of our camp shirts, with each child wearing the jersey number “1”. We firmly believe that all of our work is worth it even if only one child’s life is impacted through Sports That Serve.

Simply put, Sports That Serve uses a familiar camp structure to encourage Biblical values and bring about real change not only in our immediate community, but around the world.
